Children's Committees
School Council
The school has two committees that heavily involve children and develop citizenship.School Council
This is made up of two children from each year group from Y2 on. These children are chosen by their classmates and are expected to try to set a good example to other children. The council meets once a month with Rev Surridge. Many school issues are discussed including behaviour, worries, school rules and the day-to-day running of the school etc. The children are encouraged to express not only their own opinions but also those gathered from peer groups. The school council also disseminates information passed on to them by Rev.Surridge. They control a small budget and this year it has been used to buy small apparatus for playtimes such as balls and ropes. The council is also involved in helping the school to work towards the Healthy School Award. Back to top
