AUTUMN SHOW

AUTUMN SHOW
Congratulations to everyone! Once again the Autumn Show brought with it beautiful weather making a great afternoon for everyone. The school has been congratulated on the quality of all the work on show, and prizes can be seen on all the work on display in our classrooms. Although the layout of our classes have changed this term, every class had a good display for visitors to see, and we were joined with a wonderful display from Playgroup for everyone to admire. A special mention goes to Lewis Glover who won the best exhibit in the Children's Classes for his portrait.
The Gardening Club were congratulated again by the Vegetable Judge for their entries against very stiff opposition from well known local vegetable growers. He hopes that the youngsters will have caught the gardening bug early and will continue to grow vegetables as they get older for fun and for good food!

Firstly?we must say how fantastic it is to see you, especially YR and Y1?s, all in school colour PE kits (black or blue shorts and white t-shirts). It really makes everyone look smart and, more importantly, are ready to take part in PE. Lets keep this up and try and get everyone to have full PE kit at school ready everyday!

Next week will see another two outings for the team?a friendly match v Grampound with Creed, and taking part in the Small Schools Tournament being held at Grampound Road Primary School. Good Luck everyone!

HALLOWEEN

We have been contacted by PC Cooper from the Carrick Youth Intervention Team with advice about their initiative to help residents who do not want to take park in the event and advice to parents and children. They have produced a poster designed for residents to put up to opt out of 'Trick or Treat'. Most people enjoy Halloween however others do not wish to be called on during this time, particularly the elderly or vulnerable members of our community who can find this an anxious time, and wish to be left alone to enjoy a peaceful evening at home. Children and adults supervising groups of children are asked to look out for the posters and respect the resident?s wishes and do not call.
