As Head Teacher of Veryan C.E.V.A. Primary School I would like to welcome you to this site. I hope you will find it enjoyable and informative and will visit it frequently.

We believe that our school is placed both at the heart of the local community and within the church's mission to the world. Therefore we teach within a Christian setting.

Dear Parents and Visitors

A warm welcome to our New Year and new classroom organisation.

It was sad to say so many farewells last term not least to our Year 6s but also to Bron who served the school and the many, many pupils she taught over the years. She will be very sorely missed.

Welcome to our new reception children. It has been great to see them settle so well already.

At the beginning of this term we saw the class names changing to reflect areas of the coastline of the Parish of Veryan.

 Reception class is called Carne.

The old class 1 is called Raffin.

The old Class 2 is called Pendower

The old Class 3 is now called Kiberick.

I am sure it will not take everyone too long to get to know all of this.

There has already been so much planned for the new term that I am sure our children will have some great opportunities to find something to shine at.

I look forward to seeing as many of you all at the different events and functions over the year..

 Best wishes

The Pearl of Africa Choir

We had a wonderful morning last Friday when the whole choir gave a performance during Parent Assembly, and then carried out drum workshops with all the classes during the morning.  We must also extend our thanks to all the parents who  supported the choir during their stay by being host families to the children.

School Website

This website has been created as a window on our school. We hope that it will be accessed for the following reasons:-

For children to learn how to navigate a website and find out about the people who are involved with the school.

For parents and prospective parents to find information about the school.

As a window on the life of the school.

To learn about the National Curriculum through the work of the children displayed here.

As a resource to develop the children's knowledge of the school and local area and it's community.

As a link to other websites.

As a means of developing two way communication between home and school through the guest book.

For Governors to share information and news.

For past pupils to remain in contact with the school.
